The Mission of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter Auxiliary [CCASA] is to encourage volunteerism, help plan and develop fundraising activities to benefit the Cherokee County Animal Shelter, and to benefit animals in North Georgia counties that have no government supported animal shelter.
CCASA will raise funds to support the Cherokee County Animal Shelter programs,
services and any effort to save animals and encourage adoptions. CCASA will
assist and promote proactive and preventive approaches to the surplus animal
situation. CCASA will act as ambassadors to the community by bringing awareness
of programs and events that benefit animals in Georgia and across the county.
CCASA will strive to save the lives of animals, including wildlife, by working
to foster and encourage cooperative agreements between animal shelters, animal
rescues, animal control, citizens volunteers, government officials and
veterinarians.
